Millie's sits comfortably in the heart of Torquay on The Terrace, offering a cozy spot for breakfast and casual catch-ups. This cafe draws a steady flow of locals who appreciate a solid, no-fuss start to their day, whether it's grabbing a pot of Yorkshire tea or settling in for a full English breakfast. The vibe here is warm and approachable, with friendly staff who take time to chat, creating a familiar atmosphere you might find yourself returning to on quiet mornings or weekends.

The food focuses on straightforward, well-executed classics: think properly cooked sausages, full English breakfasts, and comforting hot drinks like cappuccinos or rich hot chocolate. Prices hover around mid-range for breakfast, reflecting the carefully sourced local ingredients and the care in preparation. Millie's also offers some casual lunch options such as ham and cheese paninis and pepperoni pizza, making it a flexible choice for different times of day.

Inside, the space is modest but tidy, with a relaxed rhythm that suits a quick coffee before starting work or a laid-back breakfast meeting. The cafe's small touches, like a loyalty card for drinks and personal service from the owner who is often present, add to the sense of community connection. From families out to enjoy a morning treat to locals popping in for a reliable, friendly meal, Millie's feels like an everyday part of life in this part of Torquay.

Morning hours tend to be the best time to visit, especially if you're after a freshly cooked breakfast that feels homemade rather than rushed. If queues form, it’s a sign of a steady stream of regulars who depend on Millie’s as a trusted stop. While the space doesn’t stretch outdoors, its central location invites a stroll along The Terrace afterward, making it easy to combine your visit with a bit of local exploration.

I've been meaning to try Millie's for a while. The dilemma was in whether or not to have a veggie breakfast or one of the delicious cakes with a cappuccino. The photo speaks for itself but would add that £9.50 for this breakfast was overpriced but happy to have paid it to support an independent business in the community. The customer service was excellent with me and other patrons.

Popped into Millie’s coffee shop for breakfast this morning. Served by a very pleasant, friendly lady. We ordered two full English breakfast for £12 two pots of Yorkshire tea for £4-95 Best breakfast we’ve had for a long time everything freshly cooked and good quality We met Josh, who owns and cooks here such a pleasant young man. This place certainly is worth a visit. Will definitely be back again Might even try the home cooked scones the aroma from them when we arrived wow!! as they had just been cooked.

Coffee shop is just off main shopping thoroughfare. Called in on a Monday late morning. Reasonably busy but tables available. Had large breakfast which was well cooked and tasty. Only thong missing was black pud !

I was heading to spoons with my daughter and she wanted to support a local business - she made a great choice. £12 for two lovely fresh breakfasts (at 3pm!). Nice thick hash browns and decent bacon/sausages. Washed down with a spot on coffee. The chap who looked after us couldn’t have been nicer & you can clearly see it’s a popular place as there was lots of back and forth with the customers. Absolutely support local where you can & popping in here for a bite won’t disappoint

A little gem of a cafe. We popped in for some brunch and ended up with the cafes 2 for £12 fry up deal. 1 of each breakfast item but the owner was very accommodating in being able to swap items around. Probably the best sausages I've had out in forever. Bacon was a tad burnt but was ok as don't mind bacon like that. Didn't feel greasy after we finished and fueled us up for the day ahead. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend popping in.
